Cinema KC

So, Claudia Chagüi, Teri Rogers and I sat down for an interview on Cinema KC to talk about some of our recent work. We collaborated with Outpost for the production and I must say I had a great time on set.

The interviews went smoothly! We all spoke about our recent involvement with the grand opening of the Kauffman Performing Art Center.

Then, I spoke about the Halloween Massacre, one of the first projects I was involved in at T2, as well as the creation of the Art of the Heart installation.

Claudia spoke so elegantly about the concept for the Cinema KC opening, her background as a dancer and a painter and how the two of those fuse together in her work.

Teri also got a chance to talk about the Next American Dream opportunity and T2′s movement into a design-centric company.  The interviewers were great, had me smiling and laughing the whole time and I even got to enjoy some great snacks after the shoot.  haha!  Check out Cinema KC when it airs this season and look for our faces!

“Reality KC”

As a Kansas City native, I’m happy to be back working and living in the city I grew up in.  After six years in Chicago and fourteen years in Los Angeles, I can tell you that Dorothy had it right when she said, “There’s no place like home.”

My entire career has been spent producing, casting and developing Reality TV shows.  I was the Casting Director for “Joe Millionaire, Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader“, “Don’t Forget The Lyrics”, “Average Joe” ,“The First Wives Club,” and “It’s Me Or The Dog,” just to name a few.  My work has aired on NBC, CBS, FOX, ABC, MTV, Vh1, LIFETIME, BRAVO, E!, along with many other cable networks.

After a year of consulting on original program ideas with Teri Rogers and T2, I recently began working full-time with them developing, pitching, and creating TV shows.   Bringing my expertise, experience and industry contacts to T2 in efforts to run their Original Program Development division is a great honor, and a great thrill!

Currently, T2 is casting a new primetime NBC show called “The One.”  It’s NBC’s version of “The Bachelor” and we hope that you’ll help us spread the word to insure a great turn out for our open casting calls.  We’d love to have local KC talent featured on this National Primetime show.

In addition, should you have a show idea, know of the next reality TV Star, or have a concept that you’d like to pitch to us, we’d love to meet you and hear your ideas.

Meet The 3 Latest Additions to the T2 + Back Alley Films Team!

”JZ” – Jane Zander – Editor

Knowing that the :30 spot is still alive and well, we’ve    added Jane – “JZ” – (back in KC after a six-year stint at Cutters – Chicago) to our editorial team.  Her work experience includes campaigns for Tide, Dell, Hanes, Secret, and KFC.

“Step one in working with agency creatives is finding common ground. At the end of the day, we are all just people. I enjoy the human connection as much as I do the editing process.

Matt Antrim – VP/Original Program Development

After 14 years in reality television as a casting director in Los Angeles, we think he’s seen it all – so adding him to the staff at T2 is a no-brainer!

My friends call me the dog whisperer!  I have the coolest dog you’ll ever meet.” (Easy now – Charlie, T2′s mascot, was here first!)

Having worked on shows like “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader”, “Joe Millionaire”, “It’ Me Or The Dog”, and “Thintervention” (just to name a few), Matt is ready to be on the pitching side of the table for T2 and our clients.

Adam Buritsch – Animator

Adam has a background in traditional hand-drawn animation ~ he has motion in his blood! He brings an eclectic and historical knowledge of animation to T2, a drive to push boundaries, and an endless supply of optimism.  Now, what could be wrong with that!

“I never let an inspiration slip past!  From Eastern European folk dancing to Blues harmonica and everything in between – I use a little bit of everything when I’m brainstorming.”
